Curt Glaser's Heirs Seek Drawings at Courtauld

The heirs of Curt Glaser brought their claim for eight old master and modern drawings that came to the Courtauld Gallery in London with the large bequest of Count Antoine Seilern, a collection known as the Prince's Gate Collection. They went to the Spoliation Advisory Panel which recommended against the return. While acknowledging that Glaser was a Nazi persecutee, the opinion gave credence to other motivations as determining their consignment by Glaser to an auction house in Vienna where Seilern bought them in 1933.
