New Recovery Efforts Shed Light on the Fate of the Budge Collection

Emma and Henry Budge's art collection was dispersed in 1937 in a "Jew auction" at Paul Graupe Berlin. The lawyer for the heirs is working to identify and recover the art for the benefit of a foundation Emma Budge founded in Frankfurt and for the family heirs. Paintings have turned up at auction in the past, but awareness is now keen to hold Budge Collection art that might be consigned.
